Design is art with direction. You can let it flow a little bit. Since graduating from the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia over a decade ago, Annelie has worked with some of the East Coast's most coveted lifestyle brands and advertising agencies.
Her skill set includes identities, art direction, and executions across a wide range of digital and physical mediums.
Just for shits and giggles, she may have designed an X-rated sticker for an all-girls backpacking trip once upon a time.
I've had so many! But most recently, has been a frozen cocktail bar branding project. I got to create so many fun boozed-up critter illustrations. (think drunk otters and polar bears lounging in cocktail glasses).
There are so many insanely talented designers and artists out there, and in this day and age, I often find myself deep down in a dribble or Pinterest wormhole where it's all at your fingertips.
But my favorite way of finding inspiration is in my day-to-day- stumbling across a beautiful label while walking down the wine aisle of a grocery store, noticing the typography and layout on a well-designed drink menu, or spotting the work of a talented sign painter on an old building. Design is everywhere… and when you love it, you can't help but notice it.
Working at Quaker City Mercantile – A liquor branding agency in Philadelphia. It was my first big girl design job!
I was constantly inspired and motivated by my environment and the super-talented designers that I worked alongside. Most importantly, I gained confidence in myself as a designer and felt proud of my work there.
A posse of my favorite gal pals. Not trying to go out in the woods with a stranger…
