The short answer is that it’s still here, and unruly as ever. But if you’re reading this, I’ll make the assumption that your curiosity extends beyond literal implications.
Beard & Hound Creative is now Hound Creative Agency. Hound for short. And let me tell you, lopping a word or two off of your business name is a lot more hassle than it seems. But in our case it’s something that we thought had to happen. Why?
We’ve grown up a lot.
Just like your little brother Tommy who repositioned his grownup self as Tom, we’ve hit some major milestones, reinvented the way we operate, and are charging full steam ahead into things that once seemed years away.
Don’t get me wrong– we’re all for agencies with crazy names (big ups to Crunchy Peanut Butter here in Bend and Wexley School For Girls across the hill). And if anything our culture is only becoming more “interesting” each day. But from the naming perspective a simple haircut fit the bill for us.
Teamwork Makes the Dream Work
I know she didn’t coin it, but I’ll credit the saying to Cyr. Like at least 17 times per day. And as cheesy as it sounds, it’s the team, rather than the founder, that keeps us moving forward.
It’s a Mouthful
I know, I know… basic naming stuff. But this thing started as a simple freelance opportunity. Me and the dog, working by the fire across Skype and email, with little to no interest in running another company.
Needless to say, it didn’t involve a whole lot of crowded room introductions. You can only hear “what is it?” so many times without consideration.
So we’ll sum it up as a commemoration of the next chapter. Here’s to bigger, better, smarter solutions for our clients and our company. And something that’s a lot easier to say. Cheers!
